Firstly, just before I sat down and started writing I re-read 'Bared to You' by Sylvia Day. Now I didn't let Sylvia's story influence my writing, but I found 'Bared to You' was a good way to get my head in the right place.
And here's something NO ONE has yet seemed to realise: HMK 'Her Master's Kiss' is over 90 percent conversation!
If you have bought the story, take another look. Right from the first page, the entire story is told as two people talking to each other.
I did this on purpose. Firstly I wanted to challenge myself in a new way, and secondly I thought conversation was the best way to build tension between the characters.
I hadn't done this before. It was hard work, but immensely rewarding. Time and time again I used conversation between characters to describe each other, and their settings.
Overall, I'm really proud of this story. I feel the character development was stronger, and certainly the emotional tension between Stefan and Renee was more compelling than in previous stories. I thought 'Her Master's Kiss' brought me the closest (so far) to a real dom/sub relationship.

Your right Vixen it really was a compelling read that is why I enjoy your books they are right to the point you don't waste time & pages on things that don't matter to the story line. Love Love Love it please don't stop writing.
